Natalia Korolevska was elected leader of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party (later renamed as “Ukraina – Vpered!” / “Ukraine – Forward!”) in December 2011. A member of the Ukrainian Parliament (the Verkhovna Rada) since 2006, she is currently Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship. Natalia Korolevska started her career at the age of 17 and came to run a successful business and create more than 10 thousand jobs. Meanwhile she got two higher education degrees and a PhD in economics. She is married with two young children. Ukraine – Forward!“Ukraine – Forward!” is the successor of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party (USDP) founded in 1998, one of the oldest parties in Ukraine. Today the party has 5843 local party cells in the 27 administrative units of Ukraine. It has registered more than 70,000 members. The party sets as its goals to find ways of coping with new political and economic challenges and to protect the living standards of citizens. The Party believes that individual freedom must be supported by a network of effective social and democratic institutions. European values and standards of life must be preserved as the principal achievement of the pan-European community. Supporting jobs and growthSince being elected to the Parliament Natalia Korolevska has championed the causes of Ukrainian businesses, entrepreneurs and civil society. Under her leadership the “Ukraine – Forward!” Party is determined to create an environment both to generate jobs and to move towards European social, economic and political standards. Human rightsNatalia Korolevska is at the forefront of the campaign to free former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and former Ukrainian Minister of Interior Yury Lutsenko from prison.
